I live in Brighton and Hove where I love being close to the sea and part of a lively city. I was widowed four years ago and am now retired, though I still do some part-time voluntary work. I am fairly quiet but I do love company and socializing with friends.
My friends describe me as friendly, calm, easy going, reliable, honest, considerate and kind.
I am a regular all year sea swimmer which I do in a couple of local groups. I like walking and running: I walk with a local group and enjoy group walking holidays too. I would like to travel more when I have found the right partner.
A good night out for me is to see a play, film, go to a concert or eat out with friends. At home I like to listen to music, TV (mostly films, mini-series, comedy, history and detective programmes) and radio. I enjoy reading and am part of a book group. I relax spending time in coffee shops, either by myself reading, working or just catching up with friends.
I enjoy music and play piano and organ for pleasure and sing in my church choir - we do all styles of traditional and contemporary music.
I would like to meet someone whom I can share and enjoy my life with again. We would have similar values, look out for each other, and enjoy doing things together or just being together.
