About her
I’m honest, reliable, practical, articulate and funny - I'm also low maintenance; I can mend stuff, decorate, cook, sew, milk a goat and do a spot of bricklaying.
Well travelled, through my work for the EU, I am independent and have often travelled alone, but it's so much nicer to have someone sharing the journey - and there are still plenty of places I'd like to visit or re-visit.
Now I'm retired, I keep in touch through voluntary work and I enjoy socialising/entertaining, dancing (although I’ve become a bit rusty), cooking, the theatre - I'm healthy and I keep fit with aerobics, Pilates and my very large garden. I am lucky enough to live in a medieval house so that keeps me pretty busy too.

My husband died three years ago but I lost him to Alzheimer's long before that. We were blessed with a happy marriage and a great life together, so I miss male company and I want to be reminded of how much fun life can be.
I'm not looking for a miracle, just lots of laughter, positivity, a best friend, kindness, integrity - and if you can manage a quickstep, that would be lovely but it's not a deal breaker.
We don't have to share all the same interests but you'll enjoy travelling, socialising and laughing at life - and hopefully, you won't have voted for Brexit and you don't read the Daily Mail.
