I like to consider myself an old-school "Gentleman". Certainly you won't ever have to open a door or walk kerbside on a date with me.
I despise "selfies" because they never make me took very good!
I’m loyal, honest, respectful and genuine. I love to laugh - and see the funny side of most things. I love "daft and ridiculous" situations - but I'm serious when I need to be.
I've been described as "a little rough around the edges" regarding my South-East London (Bromley) accent- but I'm equally comfortable in a suit (I own a few - including black-tie!) as I am in a pair of shorts.
Music is very important to me - I sing and play percussion in a band - I love to watch live bands and I am always listening to music.
I’m mad-keen on history and in particular The Edwardian period. I like to visit France, Italy and Belgium to visit the WW1 battlefields and towns and villages.
My hobby is "Living History" - and you'll either like this or you won't... Some weekends of the year I dress as a WW1 soldier at events and educate the visiting public about The First World War. Hence some of my photographs.
I like making and fixing “stuff” (I can't handle the modern "throwaway" society). During Lockdown I taught myself new things- so as not to waste the time that I would never get again- cooking, a bit of carpentry, gardening- even casting metal! I like good, honest, hard, physical work - as well as a glass of "whatever" and a cryptic crossword to challenge the (increasingly) grey-cells...
